Skill Idea: Teleslash
first off I dunno whether this is in the right board X.X
Dagger Mastery
Cost:5 energy Recharge: 10 secs
Attack Skill: Shadow step to target enemy and strike for +10....30 damage if it hits, this skill counts as a lead attack.
I think this would be a really nice skill and would be just fine even with the shadow step nerf. It also would be what I think a typical lead attack for a teleporter to be. I know that people would say just death's cahrge then attack but why not just have one button for it?

Sounds exactly like the kind of thing assassins would need to be a viable choice again. It sure is overpowered compared to other assassin skills, but if assassins were supposed to be balanced regarding other classes it would be just fine. I'd like to see something like a "fails if dagger mastery < 9" or something like that to prevent warriors from abusing our shadow step. =)

yeah damage is a little high for only being a lead attack and 5 energy. Yeah im all for more dmg. But lets say u use this skill. so you have roughly 40 dmg there. then offhand. another 40 so theres 80. then your duel which is 40x2 we will say. thats 160 for possibly 15energy total. Just i dont think there is any lead attack that has a high +dmg. But the overall concept sounds nice. good luck

I think this is essentially what they were nerfing: as already stated, this combines the effects of AoD and Golden Phoenix Strike into a single skill, making it arguably better than either seperately. What would be rather interesting would be making it cost 25E, recharge quick, and not elite. By putting it into Critical Strikes, you reduce R/A abuse of the skill (otherwise they'd just be Assassin version of touch rangers, using high expertise to defray otherwise unsustainable costs), and reinforce the idea- use of this skill requires high CS, to quickly build up energy on the foe in order to continue the chain.

imo... the skill should cost 10 ene and have a recharge of around 15
and i like the idea of it being linked to CS and if it doesn't have like 4 CS it fails to hit
/signed... great idea

Shadow Dragon Strike: 15e, 1/2c, 15r. Elite Lead Attack.
Shadow Step to target foe. This attack hits for +5-25 damage.
Would prefer it in Dagger Mastery, as Critical Strikes already has all the best dagger attacks after the Anet Screwed Up Nerf, but the point with R/A is valid. Still, if they can do it to hammers, they can do it to daggers.

What Shadow Step nerf ? So you cant teleport beyond the radius of your radar, how many times have you ever done that ? The only nerf was increasing the recharge of AoD, which is inconsequential. GPS is the only thing that took a hit.
As to your idea, I like it. Dagger Mastery could use an elite Lead Attack like that.

Not quite...the beauty of AoD + GPS was it skips a lead attack. With this skill, you would still have to:
a) Hit with the attack part of it.
and
b) Carry an offhand attack on your bar.
GPS has you using a dual attack by the second hit. You don't have to teleport every time you use it, you just need to be enchanted There are currently a few ways to skip the lead attack...this would just be an alternative to those skills

Should be more like
10e, 1s, 15r --NAME--
Shadow step to target foe. Targeted foe takes +2...17 damage. This counts as (is) a lead attack.
Theres also dark prison, i think that recharges quickly... not a lead though...

Deaths charge is a piece of crap, with that kind of recast time and health only if the enemy is healthier then you, it is basicly a really crappy shadowstep.
I think this teleporting slash would be a great lead attack, at 10 energy it is a decent skill, and even if it had a reasonable recast time, say 20 seconds, if you have mobious strike you could easily double combo with it.
As for Deaths Charge, with a conditional healing effect, it should be at most a 15 second skill, The healing is unless your going into battle half injured, in which case you should be concerned about literally leaping into combat, and since it only charges to an enemy, it is has next to no supporting efficiency, you can't use it enough to make a serious impact, and with such a long recast time and conditional healing, it may as well not have healing at all, because it isn't saving your life, you will likely take way more damage just going into battle. It would break my heart if they dropped the healing all together and made the recast 10 or 15 seconds.
I hate all skills with over 30 seconds of recast, one hit wonders should have an extremely effective impact, because it is taking up a skill slot for a move you will be lucky to use more then twice in an encounter
